Molecular Neurobiology Laboratory
Salk Institute for Biological Studies
I am a postdoctoral research fellow in the Chalasani Lab at the Salk Institute. I seek to understand how non-pathogenic gut microbes affect behavior and physiology in the nematode C. elegans. I earned my PhD in Genetics and Genomics from Duke University in the Tobin Lab, where I investigated the host immune response to mycobacterial infection using zebrafish as a model system.
I am committed to research mentorship, education, and equity in science. I hope to use these passions to develop curricula and research opportunities for undergraduates.
My research & activities are funded by the National Science Foundation's Postdoctoral Research Fellowship in Biology (PRFB)
